Epoxy Granite Resin
Epoxy granite resin is a specialised two-component epoxy system formulated to bond with, coat, and restore natural granite and stone surfaces. Unlike conventional epoxy resins, granite epoxy resin is engineered to replicate the appearance and durability of polished stone — making it the material of choice for granite countertops, epoxy granite flooring, granite repair, and decorative stone applications. MB Enterprises, one of India's leading epoxy resin manufacturers, supplies high-performance epoxy granite resin to fabricators, contractors, and interior fit-out professionals across India and internationally.
What is Epoxy Granite Resin?
Epoxy granite resin — also referred to as granite epoxy, epoxy resin for granite, or liquid granite — is a filled epoxy compound that combines an epoxy base with granite powder, stone fillers, or mineral aggregates. The result is a material that cures to a hard, stone-like surface with exceptional bonding strength, chemical resistance, and a high-gloss or matte finish depending on the formulation selected.
Unlike laminate worktops or pre-fabricated quartz surfaces, epoxy granite is applied on-site — directly onto an existing substrate such as MDF, plywood, concrete, or natural stone. This makes it uniquely versatile: it can be used to create new granite-effect surfaces from scratch or to repair, seal, and restore existing granite.

How to Apply Epoxy Granite Resin
Applying epoxy granite resin is a straightforward process when the correct surface preparation is followed. Below is a general guide for professional applicators.
Step 1: Surface Preparation
Clean the granite or substrate surface thoroughly. Remove all dust, grease, sealers, and loose material. Sand the surface lightly to ensure good mechanical adhesion.
Step 2: Mix the Components
Combine Part A (resin) and Part B (hardener) in the manufacturer-specified ratio. Mix thoroughly for 3–5 minutes until the blend is uniform. Do not aerate during mixing.
Step 3: Apply the Epoxy Granite Resin
Apply the mixed epoxy granite resin evenly using a roller, brush, or squeegee depending on the product and application type. Work in sections for large surfaces.
Step 4: Add Granite Effect (if applicable)
For decorative granite finishes, broadcast granite powder or stone flakes into the wet epoxy layer before it begins to cure.
Step 5: Allow to Cure
Allow the epoxy granite to cure fully at room temperature. Initial cure: 6–8 hours. Full chemical cure: 24–72 hours depending on ambient temperature.
Step 6: Apply Topcoat (optional)
For maximum gloss and protection, apply an epoxy granite floor coating or clear topcoat over the cured surface.
